It is a prestigious award the strategic objective of
which is to combat discrimination and promote equality
between Women and Men at work, in employment and vocational
training and the conciliation of work and family life.
The priorities, objectives and aims of the
“EQUALITY IS QUALITY” award are:

between the average monthly earnings of women and
men;

To reduce the gap between
male and female unemployment rates;
|

To improve the quality
of working conditions;
|

for progress in collective bargaining;
|

To increase women’s
participation in qualifying vocational training;
|

To support the employment
of women;

To recognise the value
of skills acquired in the professional, family and

The “EQUALITY IS QUALITY”
Award also seeks to:

that take or promote affirmative action in the area
of equality between women and men and quality at
work, in employment and vocational training;

Publicise the various
types of exemplary cases and measures in this area,
which have been taken by organisations, by informing
and raising awareness among managers and the general
public as to the nature of these measures and the
importance of these areas; |

To promote the adoption
of specific measures to improve the quality and
equality of opportunities between women and men
at work, in employment and vocational training and
to improve the quality of work, namely with regard
to the conciliation of work, family and private
life, by giving increasing visibility to these sectors
and to the organisations which include these objectives
in their overall management; |

To create a demand and
preference among consumers for goods and services
produced with total quality, which implies compliance
with the applicable legislation, e.g. with regard
to equal opportunities for women and men.
